skunk scent treatment that works

Dog stick his nose where it doesn’t belong? Or maybe a hiking friend?

Take 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (available from any drugstore), 1/4 cup of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and 1 teaspoon of liquid soap, such as Ivory. Mix and immediately apply to the stinky creature. Rinse thoroughly with tap water.

Mixture will bubble outrageously, which is part of why it works. Don’t try to bottle it.
