AB project ideas

Suite 101 has an interesting article about adding niches, nooks, and more to altered books. There are only a few ideas, but they’re almost infinitely customizable and useful; besides, they might inspire yet more ideas in your mind for your own projects.

What ideas does this list inspire in you? How about these ideas from my own head:

1. Knit a page for an AB
2. Embroider something (letters, images, borders, etc.) onto a page
3. Create a bird’s nest out of embroidery floss and add little decoupaged eggs to represent the creative force at work and/or the inspirational renewal of Easter
4. Instead of highlighting words on a page, remove the words you want to draw attention to–your readers might say “what is missing here?”
