Why, why am I just now hearing about this: R.I.P II Autumn Reading Challenge? It’s a phenomenal way to celebrate the Halloween season, as well as get some great books read that you’ve been meaning to look into.

RIP button

But it’s not too late! You basically only have to read 4 books, or 2 long books, and I actually already read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell last month, so it could even count. But seriously–who doesn’t read 4 books in a week? So get to page turnin’! The site even has a bonus “peril,” which is to read an additional book after your 2/4 from a list provided by the blog author. There are examples of acceptable short story collections and more if you need some inspiration or aren’t sure what counts.

I’ll post my R.I.P. list tomorrow, when I have the chance to peruse my to-be-read couch-o-books and see if I have some horror, or if I need to hit the library. I’ve been wanting to read a new, really good haunted house tale for a while… maybe I’ll luck up and find one. Post your lists, too, and I’ll link them!

Maybe it’ll inspire us for NaNoWriMo.
